Answer for the Daily Prompt 10/19/24 – Things I’ve Been Working On

What have you been working on?

I don’t usually answer the daily prompt, but this one really appealed to me. I’ve been running my blog for 11 years, and at this point, I can honestly say that I always have something in the works, so I had to answer this one.

I do a lot of things behind the scenes that I don’t always get a chance to blog about and this prompt gives me a chance to talk a bit about them.

I revisited some of my old patterns this past summer, one in particular is a corset pattern that I’ve been wanting to make for very long time. Bought it back in 2015 and still haven’t made it yet. One of the obstacles to making this corset is that my size has changed since then. I spent some time grading this pattern to my current size and it’s on my list of muslins that I need to make, along with a muslin of Simplicity 6901 with the new pants back that I drafted. Please see this previous post for more info on that pants alteration project.

I’m still working on publishing my first sewing pattern. It’s a women’s underwear pattern in an inclusive range of 8 sizes. There are a lot of details involved in this, and I have to do everything myself so it does tend to take awhile. I’m very excited about it as it’s been a dream of mine to publish my own pattern for quite some time. Right here is the very first pic of my efforts for my readers to see:

A page from my original design sewing pattern, soon to be published.

Well that about wraps it up! I’d say more but I have to get this published today, after all it is the daily prompt. 🙂
