I’ve nearly completed the body section of this sweater. All that’s left is the hem, which has a selection of different ways to finish it. I’m choosing the Brioche finish, because I’ve been wanting to learn for a long time, but never got around to it. This is a great reason to do that. I watched some videos and knit (and reknit!) a sample several times. I think I have the basic idea, but I’m definitely playing it safe and running a lifeline through the bottom so I can rip back (without crying) if I make mistakes. The pattern calls for 2 color Brioche, but I’m still deciding if I want to do 1 or 2 color. After that it’s on to the sleeves, which should seem easy after the body.
