Handspun Redux

I had so much fun spinning the first go round of this colorway that I decided to do it again! I wanted more yardage than the first skein which measured 140 yds. (128 m.), so I dyed and spun the remaining wool/silk the same way. This time I came up with 245 yds. (224 m.).

One thing I did differently on the second go round is the plying. I was more attentive to the plying on this skein, and I made sure to ply more tightly, to account for the fulling of the wool that occurs in the afterwash process. You might be able to see that in the pics with both skeins:

Second and First side by side

I call this colorway “Brights for Humanity”, soon to be available for sale.

Take care and thanks for reading 🙂
